Overblown.
I have played my Wii to death with vicious hacking swordfighting that would put a gladiator to shame and I haven't lost a controller yet. These people having problems are either half-hazardly throwing the thing around, or they have disgusting sweaty paws and should invest in talcum powder.
(watch, now tonight it will happen to me)
People don't look dumb playing Wii. But judging by the comments section in the Times (!) article, people look completely stupid discussing it. "My son, who is applying to Harvard, hurt his elbow..." blah blah blah.
